Diagnosis: Murder was released as an American action-comedy-mystery-medical crime drama TV series. The show features Dick Van Dyke as Dr. Mark Sloan who solves crimes along with his son Steve, a homicide detective. The show started as a spin-off of Jake and the Fatman.

This show struggled to take its spot and almost got cancelled at the end of the second season. However, in the third season, it was released as a midseason replacement. Fortunately, it was regularly renewed after that. There were a total of 8 seasons with around 178 episodes. It was aired on the CBS network in the United States. Producers of the show are The Fred Silverman Company and Dean Hargrove production in association with Viacom Production. But, currently it is distributed by CBS Television Distribution.

Victoria was known for her role as Drucilla in the daytime drama “The Young and the Restless” before taking on the role of Dr. Bentley. In the 1990s, she even succeeded in performing on both programs at the same time. She played the Drucilla character till 2007.

She also appeared in “Dumb & Dumber,” “Law & Order: SVU,” and “Home of the Brave.” In 2006, she was awarded an honorary doctorate by the University of Southern Maine for her involvement with foster children organizations.

Scott had already established himself as a major star by the time he took on the part of Dr. Jack in Diagnosis: Murder, having previously played Chachi in Happy Days and Joanie Loves Chachi, as well as the lead role in Bugsy Malone.
