Newton-John died at her Southern California home on August 8 after a 30-year battle with cancer. She was 73. Upon news of her death, Imbruglia shared a heartfelt tribute on Instagram.

“Devastated to hear of the passing of Olivia Newton John,” the former Neighbours star began. “When I was a little girl I used to close my eyes and sing her songs and dream of one day being on a stage somewhere, singing, just like her. She was magic. A huge inspiration to me and so many other young kids who where singing into their hairbrush.”

“The purity of her voice, her grace…and she sang from the heart,” Imbruglia continued. “She was and always will be a shining light in this world. ✨ My thoughts and prayers go out to her loved ones at this very difficult time 💔❤️.”

It was the third Wembley play date for Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres world tour. There are three more to go at the 90,000 capacity stadium. The August 19 show has been rescheduled to August 21 because of planned industrial action on the London Underground train network.

Coldplay’s support acts at Wembley include H.E.R and London Grammar.
