Retail listings for the new Tales from the Borderlands (series) [115 articles]” href=””>Borderlands game have revealed fresh details about the title and seemingly confirmed its release date too.

According to Amazon Games [310 articles]” href=””>Amazon, the game is officially titled ‘New Tales from the Borderlands’.

The retailer says it will be released for Xbox One [4,428 articles]” href=””>Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S [2,912 articles]” href=””>Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4 [5,230 articles]” href=””>PS4, PlayStation 5 [3,495 articles]” href=””>PS5 and Nintendo Switch [2,846 articles]” href=””>Switch on October 21, 2022, when it will presumably be made available for PC [5,999 articles]” href=””>PC too.

Released in 2014 and developed by Telltale Games, the original Tales from the Borderlands is a five-part episodic game set on Pandora between the events of Borderlands 2 and Borderlands 3 [100 articles]” href=””>Borderlands 3.

2012’s Borderlands 2 is its top-selling title with over 26 million copies shipped, while 2019’s Borderlands 3 is its fastest selling game with more than 15 million copies shipped.

Following the acquisition announcement, 2K said it would continue to work with Gearbox on the Borderlands franchise and hinted at collaborations on other projects too.

In April, Gearbox announced plans to acquire US-based studio Lost Boys Interactive, which co-developed the then-recently released Borderlands spin-off Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands.
