James William Awad has come to the headlines ever since his party flight that flew from Canada to Cancun was left abandoned in Mexico as airlines cancelled his return flight. The head organizer of the flight has released an apology on Thursday morning. He thanked everyone for showing patience and said that he wanted to host a safe and private event in Cancun with his group from the 111 private clubs. However, plenty of passengers who were on the flight has been infected with the virus as a video of them partying went viral online where they were not seen wearing masks and not maintaining social distancing as well.

One of the passengers who has gotten infected with the dreadful virus is Rebecca St. Pierre. The 20-year-old told USA Today that she believes that almost 30 passengers must have gotten infected as well. The matter came to light when 111 Private Club influencers took to Instagram to share a short video of the party flight on December 30. The video featured people looking drunk and rowdy as they were partying on Sunwing Airlines. Now, the video has sparked outrage as the netizens are bashing the people for not taking precautions and partying in such close proximity.

After observing the irresponsible behaviour of the group, airlines have refused to fly them back and has appealed for an investigation by Transport Canada. It is coming forward that the passengers would be fined $5,000 each. Besides, they might also have to face jail time if they have given any false information to the airlines regarding them being vaccinated or taking precautions for the virus. Sunwing Airlines has shared a statement where they have called the Canada party flight’s behaviour unruly and unacceptable. Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canada, bashed the group too.

The Canadian Prime Minister said that it’s a slap in the face to people putting their lives along with the airlines’ staff and other people’s lives at risk and called the group “idiots”. However, James William Awad has assured that he and his team are trying their best to make the passengers return safely to home. Awad said that Sunwing had asked the former for a security manager and three in-flight guardians who could keep an eye on the teenagers and make sure that they wear their masks properly. He added that it was his first event and he is still learning from this experience.
